Biography
Farrar Cusomato is a Nashville native, and has a deep love of the hills and haunts of Tennessee and the surrounding regions. Farrar received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from the University of the South at Sewanee, TN, also studying abroad in Florence, Italy through Syracuse University. She received Master’s degrees in Fine Arts and the History of Art & Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Her home and studio are in Fairview, TN, where she complements her studio practice with flower and herb gardening, foraging and wild-crafting from her home’s land and the surrounding wild places. She recently retired from teaching drawing and painting at Vanderbilt University as a Senior Lecturer. Her home and studio are in Fairview, TN. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in group and solo exhibitions.
